December/2001 - A review on ResumeGrabber by eGrabber, an excellent tool to help you extract resumes from the Internet. Also, a review for TalentHook, a fairly new but excellent tool for searching the Internet for passive candidates.
November/2001 - A follow up to Paul Hawkinson's October article on the unbundling of placement services to better serve the needs of our clients. Followed by an introduction to SwatRecruiting.com, your columnist's new Web site. Also includes a review of an excellent, inexpensive recruiter network, Recruiters Alliance. A review on a Internet recruiting training item, Sniper CD. This is followed by a review of an excellent job order posting service, WhoToChoose.com and a review of a fairly new service for recruiters from HotJobs.com. Lastly, we mention a number of niche career sites of interest to Internet recruiters.
October/2001 - Starts out with a review of a fairly new ATS, ConexPlus followed by a review on the AIRS eLearning course...Client Development. Next is a review of an excellent book by Peter Weddles, Postcards from Space, 2001. Lastly a couple of reviews on Internet sites including WorldatOnce.com (international recruiting) and DirectoryService.com (phone number lookups).
September/2001 - An excellent step-by-step guide to using the Internet for competitive research and analysis. Also ran excerpts from the recruiter discussion boards regarding Monster.com's unfair and uncompetitive practices.
August/2001 - More ramblings about changes in our industry and how we should be able to react to these changes. Also ran a review on The Recruiters Bible (an outstanding recruiter service), a piece on e-mail marketing and a commentary from Wade on DeepWeb.
July/2001 - We started with a review of the new DeepWeb service from AIRS then talked about the 'deep' or 'invisible' web. Offered some information on Military oriented resume sites and also a few free internet-based training resources.
June/2001 - Wade
offered an experiment whereby we would utilize advance search methods to fill
live jobs. Results pending. Ramblings about one recruiters end to his Headhunter
membership and a quickie on a new AIRS job board.
May/2001 - In depth
review of the AIRS web-based E-Certification. A review was also offered on
PCRecruiter, an excellent desktop application for applicant and client tracking.
There was a small piece titled "Monster Nightmare" and a blurb on
MasterCD, a mass emailing tool.
April/2001 - A full blown review of the Recruiters-Aid.Com site including an interview with CEO Audra Slinkey and a reprint of her top ten hints for Internet Sourcers. Also touched base on Recruiters Network, a free recruiter resource site and Resume Robot, a great passive candidate search tool. There was also an update on the Sendouts.Com project and a regrettable piece on Monster.Com.
March/2001 - Wade wrote about recruiting experienced candidates from University Web sites using standard search engine techniques. We wrote about PassingNotes.com, that excellent, free recruiter portal. We also wrote reviews on two solid resume/job posting services, FlipDog.com and PassportAccess.com.
February/2001 - An entire article devoted to Internet Recruiting tips.
January/2001 - An article on using the Internet as an industry research tool, more ramblings from one recruiter about the need for more passive candidate recruiting on the Internet and a review of a great Internet service, All In One Submit.
